Our Mission

To maximize the potential of individual’s suffering from mental illnesses that put them at a disadvantage with life skills.


To increase life skills and to assist those in need to take full advantage of the opportunities available.

Our Goal

Our goal is for mental health Skill Building clients to achieve and maintain stability and independence.


We train individuals in activities of daily living as well as the use of community resources.


Each individual will be coached, educated, assisted, and encouraged by Mental Health workers on improving behaviors related to health, safety, nutrition, physical condition, and medication adherence. 

Who qualifies for services?

Individuals qualifying for Mental Health Skill-building Services must demonstrate a clinical necessity for the service arising from a condition due to mental, behavioral, or emotional illness that results in significant functional impairments in major life activities.


Individuals age 21 and over that meets all of the assessment will be eligible to receive mental health skill-building services. All eligibility will be determined by a clinical assessment give by provider. 

About Our Staff The enrolled provider of mental health skill-building services shall have a Mental Health Community Support license through DBHDS. Individuals employed or contracted by the provider to provide mental health skill-building services must have training in the characteristics of mental illness and appropriate interventions, training strategies, and support methods for persons with mental illness and functional limitations. MHSS shall be provided by either an LMHP, QMHP-A, QMHP-C or QMHPP. The LMHP, QMHP-A or QMHP-C will supervise the care weekly if delivered by the qualified paraprofessional.

P.I.L will provide person-centered and recovery oriented psychosocial rehabilitation services to individuals with mental health problems, severe psychiatric problems, and other mental disabilities.

These services includes:

1. Skills training

2. Education in accessing individual needs

3. Effectively utilize services and supports that are essential to meeting the needs identified in the

individual service plans. 

Our clients will work toward their development of environmental supports necessary to sustain active community living with self-efficacy.


P.I.L will provide Mental Health Skill Building Services in any setting in which client needs can be addressed, skills training applied, and recovery experienced. 

MHSS shall include, but is not limited to goal directed training in the following areas:

  • Appropriate behavior
  • Health and safety
  • Social Skills
  • Activities of daily living
  • Use of community resources
  • Assistance with medication management
  • Monitoring health, nutrition, and physical condition.
